These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website located at streetangelsmke.org (the “Site”), operated by Street Angels Inc., a Wisconsin nonprofit corporation (“Street Angels,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Street Angels

Street Angels Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 81-2677198) based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, providing mobile outreach, shower services, and related support to individuals experiencing homelessness in Milwaukee County. This Site is provided to share information about our mission and programs, accept donations, recruit and coordinate volunteers, and communicate with the community.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes related to learning about Street Angels, donating, volunteering, or contacting us. You agree not to:

•       Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law;
•       Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems or databases;
•       Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or interfere with the Site’s normal operation;
•       Scrape, harvest, or collect information about other users or the individuals we serve;
•       Impersonate Street Angels, its staff, volunteers, or any other person or entity;
•       Use the Site to harass, defame, or harm any person, including individuals experiencing homelessness who may be referenced or pictured on the Site.

3. Donations

The Site allows you to make monetary donations and, in some cases, arrange in-kind donations (e.g., through our published wishlist or drop-off program). Monetary donations may be processed through a third-party payment processor [insert processor name, e.g., Network for Good, Stripe, etc.]. When you donate, you are subject to that processor’s own terms and privacy policy in addition to these Terms. Street Angels does not directly store full payment card information; see our Privacy Policy for details.

Donations are generally non-refundable except as required by law or at Street Angels’ discretion. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us at info@streetangelsmke.org or (414) 930-0028.

Street Angels is recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donors should consult their own tax advisor regarding the deductibility of any contribution; Street Angels will provide a donation receipt but does not provide tax advice.

4. Volunteering

Information submitted through volunteer sign-up forms is used to coordinate volunteer scheduling, required trainings, background checks (where applicable), and outreach logistics. Volunteering with Street Angels, including participation in Mobile Outreach or Showers of Hope, may be subject to a separate volunteer agreement, waiver, and code of conduct provided at onboarding, which supplements these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, and the Street Angels name and marks — is owned by Street Angels or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and print content from the Site for personal, non-commercial, and informational use, and share links to the Site, provided you do not remove any copyright or attribution notices. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law (e.g., fair use) or expressly authorized (such as approved media/press use).

6. Stories, Photos, and Testimonials

The Site may include photographs, videos, and personal stories of individuals served by, volunteering with, or otherwise connected to Street Angels. These are shared with the individual’s consent obtained separately from these Terms. If you appear in content on the Site and would like it removed or have concerns about its use, please contact us at info@streetangelsmke.org.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site contains links to third-party websites and services we do not control, including social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), our Amazon wishlist, Linktree, YouTube, and donation-processing platforms such as Network for Good. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third-party sites. Your use of any third-party site is governed by that site’s own terms and privacy policy.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

See our separate Disclaimer, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Street Angels and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Street Angels, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
