Eva Welch

CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Fierce advocate, action activator, fun instigator. Eva Welch studied psychology and earned her B.A. from Ottawa University. Her passion for people led her to become one of the Co-Founders of Street Angels.

Relentless defender, tireless organizer, inventory guru. Shelly Sarasin met Eva Welch while serving at a warming shelter. Together, they co-founded Street Angels and expanded their mission of feeding and assisting our neighbors without homes.

Vicky Cordani

BOARD VICE PRESIDENT

Vicky Cordani is Executive Director of the Franklin Educational Foundation. Her expertise is in communication, marketing, and fund development. After spending 15 years in executive communications in the manufacturing industry, Vicky transitioned to the nonprofit sector, where her experience and gift of engaging others has helped form Street Angels into an organization.

Tina King

BOARD MEMBER

Tina King is a Crime Victim Advocate at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and an experienced crisis intervention specialist who works with youth and families experiencing trauma. In addition to her service to Street Angels, Tina is a committed community volunteer and businesswoman.

Bill Budzien

BOARD TREASURER

Bill Budzien is an active volunteer in his church and in the community. He is a former executive committee member and board member for the Wauwatosa (WI) Chamber of Commerce. Bill currently serves as treasurer on the executive committee and as a board member for Street Angels MKE. He also serves on the Pastoral Council for his church and is actively involved in their Communion Ministry to the homebound.

Gina Palazarri

BOARD MEMBER

Gina Palazarri is Operations Director of Rethinking Schools, a national policy center informing educators across the country. Gina’s influence in the community has been felt through the development and sustainability of numerous successful nonprofit organizations.

Janice Wilberg, PhD

BOARD PRESIDENT

Jan Wilberg is a retired community planning consultant with expertise in homelessness, mental health, and youth services as well as strategic planning, program evaluation, and research. She is currently Chair of the Milwaukee County Commission on Aging in addition to her work with Street Angels.

Melissa Brockie

BOARD SECRETARY

Melissa Brockie is Director of Family Services for Next Door and brings a wealth of experience in social work, including serving as director of a family homeless shelter in Phoenix. Melissa’s project planning and management skills are key to Street Angels’ work!

Stacie Rosenzweig

BOARD MEMBER

Stacie Rosenzweig is a partner at the law firm Halling & Cayo S.C. with a focus on legal ethics, political and election law, and employment law. Stacie’s broad legal experience and community work are critical assets as Street Angels navigates its growth over the coming years.

Jeanne Lowry | Street Angels

Jeanne Lowry

Jeanne Lowry was a psychiatric nurse who founded the Homeless Outreach Nursing Center at the American Red Cross in the 1980s. She also co-founded the Salvation Army’s Respite Care Program to provide shelter to people recovering from surgery or illness. A mentor to many young outreach workers, social workers, and nurses, Jeanne was a beloved member of the Street Angels Board until her passing in May 2020. The Street Angels Jeanne Lowry Service Award has been established in her honor.
