OUR INITIATIVES

Showers of Hope

Showers of Hope | Street Angels MKE

Everyone deserves barrier-free access to personal hygiene and health. In partnership with the Kohler Company, Street Angels has brought a state-of-the-art, 3-stall mobile shower trailer directly to the streets of Milwaukee!

Shower Operations

The mobile shower trailer operates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday when temperatures are 32 degrees or greater, four hours per day, in areas experiencing high rates of poverty and homelessness. Everyone is welcome, including:

  • Individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness
  • Those lacking access to showers at home
  • People who are struggling with utility bills
  • Individuals requiring ADA-compliant facilities

At Showers of Hope, each guest is served with dignity and respect.

Guests will be provided with a private shower, towels, washcloths, hygiene items, bag lunches, snacks, water, and a bus ticket.

MORE THAN JUST HYGIENE

HEALTH

Showers are vital for personal hygiene and overall health. They help to reduce the risk of skin infections, promote wound healing, and prevent the spread of communicable diseases.

CONNECTION

Just like nourishment, people need human connection to thrive. Through our outreach, we offer more than just a shower; we provide a moment of dignity, respect, and empathy.

DIGNITY

A simple act like showering can restore a person’s sense of self-worth. The Showers Of Hope program provides a private and clean space for individuals to reclaim their dignity.

COMMUNITY

Through Street Angels, access AODA resources, legal resources, housing resources, haircuts, street counseling, and relationship building.

Street Angels

Your support is vital to our mission of providing essential services to those experiencing unsheltered homelessness.

Showers are a human right!
