Our Impact
What 2 buses and a mobile shower trailer provide
Five days a week, our staff and volunteers are out in the community assisting our most vulnerable neighbors by providing advocacy and barrier-free access to basic needs such as nutritious food, clean clothing, outdoor survival supplies, a hot shower, and a warm smile to hundreds of neighbors experiencing unsheltered homelessness.
Mobile Outreach
Every Tuesday and Thursday evening, each outreach bus is operated by 1 – 2 staff members and 2 – 3 volunteers who are traveling specific routes anywhere from 5 – 7 hours each night, depending on the season. One route focuses on the Southern part of the county, and the other route consists of the Northern part of the county and the downtown Milwaukee area. Not only are the outreach teams providing barrier-free access to basic needs such as a hot meal and a dry blanket, but they are also making connections and collecting data to assist individuals in advocating for themselves and getting connected to the resources that can assist them in ending their unsheltered homelessness.
Showers of Hope
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, our Showers of Hope staff and volunteers are in the community at various locations to provide access to hot showers (summer, spring, fall), hygiene supplies, clean clothing, nutritious lunches, and other community partners providing resources and guidance.

In March, Street Angels assisted 260 unique individuals who were verified as unsheltered.
